Reconnecting with Intuition

TRUSTING INTUITION

Are you intuitive? Of course you are.

Intuition is a sort of internal compass offering us direction. When we honor this direction, we tend to feel more satisfied with life experiences. We tend to lose trust in our intuitive knowledge at an early age when our parents and teachers challenge that knowledge. We then may choose to value their reaction more than our own. We pay less and less attention to those intuitive messages. What we substitute is internal dialogue that tends to conflict as if one part of the brains says, "Yes, do it!" and the other says, "No, don't do it!" This can be very stressful at times. Rationalization is applied too soon and we are confused in distinguishing intuition among those conflicting voices.

"Intuition will tell the thinking mind where to look next."
-Jonas Salk

Intuition isn't mysterious or mystical: it's very practical inner wisdom that can be used as a tool for dealing with everyday decisions and challenges.

RECONNECTING WITH INTUITION

Even though intuitive messages are not answered, it doesn't mean the intuitive phone isn't ringing. Rediscovering our intuition is as easy as paying attention to the messages that are sent. Some types of messages come from the physical body, the internal voice, vision and overall impulses.

When we reconnect with this internal instrument, we are able to find guidance, answer unanswered questions, create new questions, spark in-depth discussions, make confident decisions, ignite creativity, honor other people's decisions and fulfill our individuality and sense of purpose.

UPCOMING BOOK

After reconnecting to your intuition, certain messages will come via music, dreams, and synchronistic happenings. To help people start listening for that intuitive phone call, I'm working on a coffee table book (meant to be opened at random) for sheer delight in using intuition as an internal compass. It will include illustrations, simple activities and quotes that inspire and tantalize intuitive senses.

I'm considering calling it "Affinity" or "You Already Know What To Do," but we'll see where my intuition takes me over time!
